
The US version of the popular Web magazine Digital Spy is seeking part-time freelance writers to become part of their US team. From the ad:

* A good knowledge of the entertainment industry, particularly in the areas of celebrity news and television, as well as an interest in music and movies
* The ability to both source and produce news articles in the Digital Spy house style, with high frequency and working to fast turnaround times
* The ability to use the in-house content management system to upload content to the site
* High attention to detail and a good grasp of spelling and grammar
* Good organizational skills and strong concentration
* A reliable and fast home internet connection
Compensation is $12 per hour. Shifts are:
- 9am-12pm ET / 6am-9am PT (Monday - Friday)
- 9pm-12am ET / 6pm-9pm PT (Monday - Friday)
Applications should include the following four items:
1. A covering letter, explaining why you are suitable for this role
2. A CV or list of relevant experience
3. Three news articles written by you specifically for Digital Spy in the house style on suitable (real) subjects for today. Selections of previous clips will not be accepted.
4. Three or four other headlines that you think might also warrant coverage on digitalspy.com
