The demand for freelance writers, particularly those with expertise in niche areas, is huge right now. As the Internet grows, so does the need for quality content. I see more and more advertisements for grant writers, and the demand for medical, legal, and technical writers is expected to increase as we move forward into the 21st century.
Medill Reports, out of Chicago Northwestern University, has a great article on the present and future of freelance writing. It’s Can’t Find a Full-Time Job? Join the Swelling Ranks of Freelancers by J.H. Freeman. It offers insight into the future of freelance writing, as well as advice on promoting your freelance writing career.

I was doing quite a bit of writing but when the rats dropped I couldn’t afford to sustain living in a western country with the rates I was getting paid. I wonder where I can find places to get a decent rate. I am doing other online things at the moment, more in the way of affiliate Marketing but I do enjoy writing.
